Mia and Mika
What can I say? I have never met such wonderful kittens! EVER!
Mia and Mika came into our lives on January 1st, 2010. They were found in a house in Verdun together with about 16 other unsterilized cats. All of them were taken by the Verdun Cat Refuge to be sterilized and placed in good homes. The lady who brought them was actually fostering 18 cats! We are looking for a good home for them, but we would like it if they stayed together. If you saw them you would know why. Plus, it makes us feel better about letting them go, knowing they are excellent company for each other and will always look out for each other.
At first, both kittens had stomach problems. We knew because of the liquidy, smelly poop. We were told that the man who they were taken from was not very well off but loved his kittens so much that he gave them his own food. Well…DUH. Right away I put them on my special diet I had just introduced to LuLu and Bruce a couple of weeks before, with much success! Both kittens adored the new food, and their next stool – and all subsequent ones – was dry, non odorous and healthy looking (if you can say that about turd).
At first they were very shy, but once they got to know the house they let loose. Mika is smaller and more playful. She has a special toy she likes me to play fetch with. I throw it and she runs, she plays with it a little and then she brings it back to me. It is so adorable!
These are the kittens playing to Guns’n'Roses.
