Moka

Moka is a black cat. I think that’s very cool. When he first came to us, he did not want to come out of his room for a couple of days . Mia was able to take him out of his shell so the three fosters hung out together quite a lot. He is now very social. Now that Mia has been adopted, he loves to play with Albert in the back yard. He likes to climb trees and be chased by Albert. He adores my home-made chicken chunks food and eats raw chicken meaty bones with much gusto! He actually likes pretty much everything I offer him, less milk. Of course he also enjoys canned food and kibble, but you all know how I feel about kibble ;)

Moka has to be the most affectionate cat I have ever met. I call him Black Velvet because his fur is exceptionally soft and shiny. Another name I call him is Made of Love because of his enormous affection towards me. Since he came into our lives I have worked herd to gain his trust and he now hangs out on the sofa even when we have loud friends around ;) He now knows that human hands are there to offer him pleasure and safety. He is quite vocal and lets us know when he is hungry or needs love…Alex likes the sounds Moka makes; he says it’s his favourite cat sound so far :)  Moka can still be shy, but is able to quickly get over it.

Here are Moka and Albert grooming each other :) how cute?

Once he trusts a person, Moka loves to be rubbed. He may not do very well with young children or loud, busy families. The best family for him would be a calm and quiet one, maybe even just one owner who can focus all their love and affection on this baby Made of Love. He does get along with other cats though so I would love it if we could find him a home where he would not be left alone as he is quite social.
